Every man and every woman in the United States today is free to choose whether to have sex, when to have sex, with whom to have sex, and what kind of sex to have. That is reproductive freedom.
If one reads the opening paragraph of the U.S. Constitution, we read that the Constitution was established to secure the Blessings of Liberty for citizens (referred to as ourselves) and to the citizens Posterity. Webster and other dictionaries define Posterity as offspring or future generations. So a woman may believe she has rights for healthcare, but those rights should not interfere with the rights of the baby in the womb. They have a right to be born and enjoy the Blessings of Liberty.
Being a mother was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. To care for another person that depends on you is the definition of caring. I was just one year into my college experience when I got pregnant, I will never forget the fear, the disappointment, but the life I gave to my son. He is raising a new generation of people that love and respect life.
I think Pro-life supporters should take this position when speaking out against abortion legislation.
I have reached out to 2 professors of the Constitution without any result. Would you know of any Constitutional Professors that could comment on this idea and whether it has merit and could hold up as a legal argument?
